While we were there, in came Anthony Quinn who was in Chicago for the grand opening of Shoes of the Fisherman
along with two bodyguards and 2 hangers-on prostitutes who’d followed
them into the cafe. The bodyguards kept trying to get the women to go
away, but they kept coming back.
The store/café owner recognized Quinn as Zorba the Greek, and started
playing the theme of that very famous film over the sound system. He came
out and began dancing the Zorba dance, getting Quinn to join in a
little at first. The waiters then brought out huge trays of all the
food they had to offer and laid them out in front of Quinn/Zorba.
